Hi there!
I’m Elisabeth, founder and creator of ANIMA Arte designs!
As the creative head behind the brand, I strive to design timeless and stylish products that meet both ecological and aesthetic requirements – accessories that you can use with pride for many years to come.
My unconditional passion for creating has accompanied me ever since my early childhood – as has my enthusiasm for fashion. After graduating and working for several well renowed fashion companies around the globe as a female garment- and bag designer, I decided to set up my own studio for fine leather artistry and design in 2016, to give people a way to easily make coveable handbags from beautiful materials, minimal tools and pared-back techniques in their own home without the need of expensive industrial sewing machines or pricey tools. Having guided over 800 people to make their own handbags from scratch, I learnt what they found challenging, what they enjoyed and how they developed a sense of pride in their abilities.
Each pattern has been thoughtfully designed to enable even sewing novices and beginners to make beautiful, functional bags. Using simple techniques I have broken the making process down into easy steps and rooted out over-complicated techniques in favour or simpler ways of doing things – making crafting more accessible for everyone! Video tutorials and illustrated easy to follow instructions take you step by step through each of the processes.
With my hands on experience within the fashion industry and attention to detail, it is my goal to close the gap between “obviously handmade” and expensive luxury bags and to provide access to great quality patterns, professional tips and tricks, to bring your bagmaking to the next level without the need of special machines or tools.
A high-end finish should always be the reward of your efforts to make your handmade bag a fashion statement!
